What Is a Google My Business Profile?
The days of the yellow pages are long. When customers look for your business today, they'll start google searching for it. If you've created an online presence, customers will be able to find your business name, information such as your phone number, address, hours, etc.
The Google Business profile lets you manage your online presence through the entire Google platform. Once you create and claim ownership of my "My Business on Google" profile, you can access and edit all the information that appears on your data card - from business hours and location to any images.
By controlling this information, you control the information that appears in Google Maps or Google Search when potential customers are looking for your online business.
With Google Business Profile, you can:
- Add your business information to Google Maps, search, and other Google services.
- Create a business file or get it on Google.
- Manage how your business information appears via Google.

How to add or claim your Business Profile on Google - Computer
2. You can add your business in three ways:
- Enter your address in the search bar. On the right, in the business file, click add your business.
- Right-click anywhere on the map. Then, click add your business.
- At the top right, click on the "Menu and add your business.
Claim your business through Google Maps
- On your computer, open Google Maps.
- In the search bar, enter the business name.
- Click the company name and choose the correct name.
- Click claim this business and then manage now: to choose a different company, click Own or Manage another business.
- Select the verification option, and follow the steps that appear on the screen.
How to add or claim your Business Profile on Google - Android
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps.
- Search for your business and choose the right one.
- Scroll down and click claim this business.
Claim your business through Google Maps
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Maps.
- In the search bar, enter the business name and choose the correct name.
- In the Business Profile, click to claim this business and then own or manage it: to choose a different business, click on own or manage another business.
- Select the verification option, and follow the steps that appear on the screen.
